Summer in Offenbach: Expert predicts long-lasting sunny weather

It’s summer again in Offenbach. But how long will it stay summery? An expert is sure.

Offenbach – The Sommer in Offenbach and region to pause. He returned just as punctually for the start of school. “Hesse is under the influence of high pressure,” reports the German Weather Service (DWD).

On September 23, summer also ends in the calendar. But will it stay with us for that long?

The high “Olenka” lets warm air masses flow from Western Europe towards Germany. The resulting omega layer brings the high temperatures and dry Wetter to Rhine-Main.

Weather in Offenbach: Hardly any rain, lots of sun

And so it looks, at least in the coming days, as if summer will still have enough power after its holiday season. “Summer is here and summer is here,” says meteorologist Dominik Jung from the wetter.net portal.

Until Sunday (September 10th), looking a little further ahead even until Tuesday (September 12th), the temperature will hover around the 30 degree mark. According to the DWD forecast, there will be no precipitation at least until Saturday (September 9th). Nothing stands in the way of a barbecue party or a trip to the countryside at the weekend. The risk of thunderstorms or storms is also low. “Until further notice, no weather phenomena worth warning,” reports the DWD for Hesse.

It is currently difficult to estimate how long the omega location over the Rhine-Main area will last. The first forecasts expect a reversal next Thursday (September 24), but the weather models would often underestimate the endurance of an omega location. Means: The thermometer in Offenbach can show 30 degrees and more until the weekend after next. (esa)
