Budi also confirmed the news that the Deputy Regent of Sukabumi, Iyos Somantri, had been affected by dengue. However, Budi confirmed that Iyos’ condition has now recovered and he can return to his activities.

“Yesterday I received information from the puskesmas, as well as from his secretary of state, that our leader, Mr. Wabup, was affected by dengue. Further efforts related to this dengue case, we immediately coordinated with the relevant agencies and today we are also fogging,” explained Budi.

Budi also appealed to the public to eradicate mosquito nests, clean drains and stagnant water.

Meanwhile, Ani Nuraeni, a local resident, hopes that fogging can be carried out evenly in her residential area. Ani admitted that she was also exposed to dengue fever but had to be treated at home.

“I want everything in residential areas to be sprayed, so it’s safe. Today, only 3 families have been sprayed, they all want it. The problem is that most of the children in the ER, I want to go in, it’s full, so it doesn’t happen,” said Ani.
