Sudan extends full curfew in Khartoum state – Xinhua

KHARTOUM, June 28 (Xinhua) – The Sudanese government decided on Sunday to extend the full curfew in Khartoum state for an additional week from Tuesday to prevent the spread of COVID-19, said Haut Haut Health Emergencies Committee.

It also decided to extend the closure of airports for domestic and international passengers until July 12.

The Sudanese government declared a full curfew in Khartoum state on April 18, which was extended four times thereafter.

Sudan has so far reported 9,257 COVID-19 cases, including 572 deaths and 4,014 recovered patients.

On June 11, a team of Chinese medical experts concluded a two-week mission to support Sudan in its fight against COVID-19. On June 18, China sent a new batch of medical supplies there.
