Successful Completion of the First Round of the Baden-Württemberg Process Management Offensive

[2.8.2023] The first round of the process management offensive in Baden-Württemberg has been completed. As part of the project, 41 participants from 20 municipalities created the basis for professional process management.

A good year ago, the Kehler Academy and the company Picture joined forces to form the BW Process Management Offensive initiative (we reported). The first edition of the project has now come to a successful conclusion, Picture announces. Over a period of one year, the 41 participants from 20 Baden-Württemberg municipalities went through various training courses, workshops and training courses, in which they acquired technical and methodological knowledge on the subject of process management and analyzed and discussed inter-municipal processes. In addition to acquiring knowledge and skills, the focus was on building networks. After the end of the project, the municipalities now have access to a comprehensive, central process register with around 80 process models for subsequent use with the jointly surveyed process library of Baden-Württemberg.
The initiative is convincing and is having an effect: “In previous process management training courses, I often lacked direct practical relevance,” says Anne Jehle, head of central control at the city of Göppingen. “In the training courses and workshops of the Baden-Württemberg process management initiative, we have addressed exactly the issues that concern us every day. In particular, we were able to take a lot of valuable input from the exchange with the other participants who are facing similar challenges.”
Initiator Professor Jürgen Kientz is also satisfied: “The first round of the offensive was a complete success. Through the cooperation with Picture and the resulting combination of science and practice, we were able to pass on knowledge and skills at all levels to the participants.”
The second round of the process management initiative will start in October 2023. According to Picture, all formats are recorded online, so that later access is possible at any time. (ba)
