‘Subi too the day Lalithamma left’; In memory of a dear friend, Manju Pillai

Friend and actress Manju Pillai reminisced about late actress and presenter Subi Suresh. Subi was a close sister to whom she could confide anything. If you fight, you will listen. Subi was very close even to my mother. Today is the one year anniversary of Lalithamma’s passing. Manju Pillai said that two very close people left on the same day.

I have years of experience with Subi. She had mostly male friends. Subi’s mom always said that if he showed affection to any girl, it would be with her. He was a child with many physical disorders. Often, when he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, he would return within two days. This time too, even when mummy said that Subi’s condition was serious, she did not expect to go away quickly. Manju Pillai said that this departure was too soon.

Subi was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Luwa due to liver disease. He died at 10 am on Wednesday. Subi had been suffering from health problems for the past few years.
