Just months after Subaru unveiled the elegant Levorg prototype, the Japanese automaker released teasers previewing a STI Sport version.
The car, due to be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon next month, has a new sports body kit complete with slightly more aggressive front and rear fascias. This version also gets an STI badge on the rear and a set of dedicated wheels.
The new global Subaru platform will be shared by the new Levorg with the Ascent, Impreza and other Subaru models. Entry-level versions will be equipped with a 1.8-liter turbocharged boxer engine. It is likely that the future Levorg STI Sport series will be available with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder boxer developing 296 hp.
As with other Subaru models, the new Levorg will feature advanced safety technologies, including the company’s next generation EyeSight system which includes a new camera and four radars mounted in the front and rear.
Subaru will launch the all-new Levorg in Japan in the second half of 2020.
