REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SUBANG — Subang Regency Health Service, West Java, stated a case hemorrhagic fever dengue (DHF) in the area reached 132 cases.

Among the dengue fever cases that resulted in death occurred in the Cikalapa, Cikaum, Cipunagara and Pringkasap areas. According to him, 132 dengue fever cases were quite high compared to the previous year which was only 40 cases. That too without any deaths.
“Subang is actually in the high category for dengue fever. So we from the Health Service are now focusing on efforts to prevent and eradicate dengue fever,” he said.
He said that the easy thing to prevent dengue fever is to get used to living a clean and healthy life and not littering. DHF cases can also be reduced by eradicating mosquito nests, covering, draining and recycling rubbish, and preventing dengue mosquito bites.
He said that his party had allocated logistics for preparedness and early detection of dengue cases. “Such as insecticides, abatements, and logistics that can quickly enable the puskesmas to detect whether a patient is positive for dengue fever or not,” he said.
Common symptoms of dengue fever include fever that lasts one to five days. Then there are red spots on the palms or folds of the hands, red spots plus stripes, nosebleeds, vomiting black blood and even blood coming out of the pores if it is serious.
