A Russian Su-27 fighter was raised to intercept the US Air Force RC-135 strategic reconnaissance aircraft and the US Navy P-8A Poseidon patrol aircraft over the Black Sea.
According to TASS, the world community was informed about this at the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation.
It is reported that the radar spotted two air targets rapidly approaching the Russian border over the sea.
In response, a fighter-interceptor was raised from the air defense duty forces of the Southern Military District, the crew of which forced the uninvited guests to change their route.
