Stupid 58-year-old man marries a 19-year-old girl, initially proposing to her mother but rejected

BONE, KOMPAS.com – The age-adrift marriage case has shocked the Regency Bone, South Sulawesi.

This time, a 58 year old man managed to marry a 19 year old girl.

This marriage is also unique because previously the groom proposed to the girl’s mother.

A man named Bora (58) shocked residents after saying consent to Kabul with his wife Ira Fazillah (19).

The second marriage took place in Cippaga Hamlet, Bana Village, Bontocani District, on Wednesday (7/4/2021) in front of the leader.

Compiled information Kompas.com, Previously, Bora proposed to Ira’s biological mother, but the proposal was rejected and Ira instead offered her eldest son to marry.

The marriage process went smoothly with a cash dowry of Rp. 10 million and 1 hectare of land in the form of a garden.

“At first Bora proposed to her mother but the mother refused to even offer her daughter to marry and with the consent of the two, the marriage took place,” said the Head of Bana Village, Ishak, via cell phone.

Bora himself is a single man and has never been married. He currently lives alone after migrating to Southeast Sulawesi.

Meanwhile, Ira Fazillah is an orphan and the eldest daughter of three children.

“Ira’s parents have long been separated (divorced) and have been raised by her mother who works as a farmer,” Ishak said.

Ishak added that this marriage was carried out on a consensual basis because the two of them were still related kinship.
