Study reveals eating high amounts of rice increases DEATHS from heart disease

This could be sad news for those who love food, especially for those who love to accompany their cymbals with a good portion of rice.

This because recently a study published by the journal Science of The Total Environment ensures that there is a problem that results dangerous within a chemical which is directly associated with this cereal.

Scientists say that rice contains inorganic arsenic (iAs), a semimetal extremely toxic that is potentially harmful to the body.

Why is it highly dangerous?

The same study confirms that inorganic arsenic (iAs) accumulates in the body once it is ingested with rice, affecting different systems of the organism, but mostly causes damage to the system cardiovascular.

Although they point out that the content of (iAs) in each grain of rice varies, the truth is that the European Food Safety Authority has already warned about its elevated presence since 2014.

Now it has been researchers from the University of Manchester and the University of Salford (United Kingdom), who have compared these data with other research, and have concluded that in all the study cases, when arsenic reaches the human body, there are higher mortality rates for vascular diseases.

Rice and obesity

After the alarm that is released around rice, other studies have been revised, and they ensure that high rice intake is directly associated with obesity.

This cereal has set off alarms, however specialists assure that rice is not exactly a harmful product, as long as it is not abused on the cymbals.

That is why the researchers advise changing the grain of rice for varieties such as basmati and polished rice, with lower arsenic content.
