StuBru and MNM are looking for podcast editor

There are still not many people in Flanders who can make a professional living from podcasts. But it might be possible in a roundabout way, because Studio Brussel and MNM have a vacancy for a ‘Podcast Editor’. “Studio Brussels and MNM are looking for audio talent who wants to help build the podcast offering on VRTMAX. We are looking for a podcast creator and audio freak who would like to contribute to titles such as ’22 minutes of stupid questions’, ‘Bless The Mess’ & ‘The popcast of the week’, but also want to think about new formats and series such as ‘Hey Paul’. Someone who helps devise concepts and follows up our podcasts until they are online.” Who is interested can go here for more information.

The Netherlands: Mediahuis supplies deus ex-machina in merger Talpa/RTL

In the Netherlands, a compromise seems to be in the works to complete the merger of Talpa Network and RTL, which has been dragging on for a year and a half. According to the ‘remedy’ that both parties have submitted to the Dutch competition watchdog ACM concerned, the advertising sales of the Talpa TV channels SBS6, Veronica, Net5 and SBS9 would be entrusted to Mediahuis. In this way, three independently competing ‘sales houses’ will continue to exist in the Netherlands and the media power bloc of the two merger partners will therefore become less dominant. ACM is now subjecting that proposal to a so-called ‘market test’.

Apple TV en Music in Microsoft Store

Apple has quietly released two apps – Apple TV and Apple Music – in preview in the Microsoft Store. The giant from Redmond (Washington) had already announced at its Surface event in 2022 that the apps in question would be ready for Windows 11 in 2023. It is therefore not a complete surprise. The apps should replace the very outdated iTunes for Windows. There is also a third app in preview: Apple Devices, for synchronizing with your iPhone or iPad. According to observers, things will change at the insistence of users. For example, Apple would provide the next MacBook Pro with a touch screen. And with Apple Maps, companies would finally have the opportunity to add information, photos and promotions to the business pages themselves. (HVG)
