Wednesday brought another downward session on the WSE. This time, however, the atmosphere was a bit calmer than on Tuesday, although they certainly could not complain about the lack of emotions, among others shareholders of CD Projekt.

A decrease of 0.21 percent. ended Wednesday’s WIG session. This is mainly due to large companies, as the WIG20 lost 0.23 percent, although it is worth noting that mWIG40 (-0.26 percent) found itself in similar areas. Against this background, the sWIG80 stood out (+0.11%), despite this great 7 months it is clearly visible in recent days that this index has become breathless. The turnover on the broad market reached PLN 1.3 billion.

In terms of sectors, the WIG-Clothes index rose by 2.8%. 10 out of 15 sector indices lost their value. The leader of the decline was WIG.Games (-2.5 percent), and over 1 percent. WIG-Telekomunikacja and WIG-Nieruchomości also fell.

CD Projekt definitely attracted the most attention in the WIG20 line-up. The company started the day with increases on the wave of information about the restoration of “Cyberpunk” to the PS Store. However, the joy of investors was short-lived, because this information had already been made available before and its appearance was not a signal to continue growth, but to take profits. Additionally, short squeeze (closing short positions), which was rumored earlier, turned out to be guesswork, because yesterday a new fund appeared on CD Projekt’s drop-down list. CD Projekt weakened by the hour and finally closed the day with a 6.5% decline.

Without strong declines, CD Projekt WIG20 would be green today, which does not mean that the index was full of other red companies. About 2 percent the shares of telecoms – Polsat and Orange became cheaper, Orlen was also close to this value. Orlen Lietuva, a company from the PKN Orlen group, acquired 100 percent shares in the Lithuanian company Mockavos Terminalasthus taking control of the only railway transhipment terminal at the Polish-Lithuanian border.

On the green side, clothing companies stood out, by over 3 percent. the prices of both CCC and LPP became more expensive. Santander also had a successful day, rising 2.3 percent. Over 1% was also important for the index result. Allegro and PGNiG growth. PZU (-0.15%) closed the day neutrally, and it stuck payment of a record dividend. Although it is worth remembering that this is supported by reserve capital (making up for the lack of a dividend last year).

During the session PZU shareholders approved a PLN 3.5-a-share dividend. The decision was in line with the management board’s proposal. PZU share price decreased by 0.15 percent. up to PLN 38.67. The shares were trading at a 52-week high on Tuesday. PZU wants to remain a dividend company and dynamically develop cooperation with banks – informed PAP Biznes President of PZU Beata Kozłowska-Chyła.

In the group of mWIG40 companies, Develia’s shares were the most depreciated – the developer ‘s quotations fell by 4.35%. up to 3.3 PLN. A week ago, the stocks were PLN 0.25 more expensive and were at their long-term maximum.

Banks also experienced declines as part of long-term upward trends – Millennium was discounted by 2.99 percent, and ING BSK by 2.90 percent.

In turn, another bank – Alior – was the growth leader. The company’s stock rose by 4.6 percent. to PLN 34.16 and are approaching the 52-week maximum (PLN 34.88) from the previous week. The turnover in Alior’s shares amounted to PLN 13 million and was the highest in mWIG40.

In the group of companies with lower capitalization, included in the sWIG80, Mabion was the leader in turnover with the result of almost PLN 20 million. The share price went up by 2.5 percent. up to PLN 82.

The leader of the increases in the sWIG80 was Erbud, which went up by 13.3 percent. up to PLN 78.6. The quotations were the highest in 13 years, and the turnover in shares exceeded PLN 3 million. On Monday, Onde, part of the Erbud group, announced its intention to conduct an IPO, in which Erbud intends to sell some of its shares.

On the NewConnect market, the problems of one of the market’s stars – Biomaxima – once again made themselves felt. The company wants to enter the WSE, however, he has problems with the preparation of the prospectus. At the beginning of June, it informed about the postponement of the deadline to June 15, but yesterday evening it informed that it was also the new thread date. Additionally, the company has to look for a new auditor. Today its shares went down by nearly 5 percent.
