Strong away win of TuS Ferndorf at fourth in the table HC Elbflorenz Dresden | | we win

(wS/red) Dresden / Ferndorf 30.05.2021 | The league should not be taken away from the TuS

Voices before the game:

Robert Andersson -Trainer TuS Ferndorf
We’ll play with the same team as in the last game, we have to be very good in the inner / middle block, make few mistakes and have good goalkeepers. We’ll need simple goals from the back area and prevent them from moving well into the circle. We have to take the performance of the last few games with us, a lot of players have developed and every win brings more confidence.
Dresden has very good players in every position, they change a lot and prefer a 6-0 defense on the defensive

The people from Ferndorf completed a training session at home on Friday and Saturday, drove to Dresden on Saturday and also added a training session on the match day. Thus Robert Andersson prepared his boys optimally for the match.

And this statement is still valid after the final whistle, because we saw an incredibly fast and combat-oriented game between two teams that played absolutely on an equal footing.

The paper form sees TuS Ferndorf in tenth place in the table and the players from the capital of Saxony in fourth place, but there was absolutely nothing to be seen today. The game started nervously, Ferndorf had a throw-off and lost the ball directly, now the Elbflorenzer could have scored their first goal, but they then also decided to “lose the ball”. In the second minute of the game Josip Eres scored the 0: 1 with a counter-attack, but it was to remain his only goal today, the Saxons had the RA position under control.

Dresden converted immediately to 1: 1, but that did not last long, because Ironman Andreas Bornemann hit Mario Huhnstock in the Dresdner Tor a real blast. After 60 minutes there were even fabulous six hits from him, the keepers of the hosts twitched only briefly, but by then the resinous play equipment had already disappeared in the box, actually untenable.

Andreas Bornemann 6 goals

Dresden had to give everything today, but they had problems with the people of Ferndorf. They convinced with a lot of individual quality in the game, the inner block with the entire defense stood like a wall and the referees reported many time games against Dresden. Dresden never got the Ferndorf district game under control, the team from Siegerland was too quick and too clever.

But over the entire distance there was an open exchange of blows with constant changes in leadership, but the red and white team from Ferndorf could not be shaken off.

When Thomas Rink converted to 6: 6 in the 11th minute, the perfectly playing Julian Schneider insisted on adding two more times and TuS changed the scoreboard to 6: 8. But as already written, none of this lasted long, because the opponent countered immediately. However, no team was able to break away by more than two goals in the entire 1st HZ and so they went into the dressing room with a 16:15. Shortly before, in the 22nd minute, Ferndorf made a goalkeeper change, Tim Hottgenroth was replaced after only 3 saves against Marin Durica

The hosts kicked off the second HZ, but they started poorly and Ferndorf scored 16:16 with Lucas Schneider, who had just been substituted on.

Thomas Rink 3 Tore

The already mentioned exchange of blows continued until the 42nd minute when Lucas Schneider scored the 20:20, shortly before the TuS changed the goalkeeper and Tim Hottgenroth came back. Now slight mistakes crept in with the Sachsen-Tigers, the performance at eye level was lost and Ferndorf now seemed smarter in his actions, the concentration of the hosts decreased. They scored 21:20 in return, but Faulenbach with 2 and Bornemann with 1 goal made it 21:23. It lasted until the crunchtime, more precisely until the 51st minute, when Julian Schneider again struck on the left wing, it was the first 3-goal lead for TuS with the score of 24:27.

Ferndorf now seemed fresher and more focused in his actions and when Faulenbach scored the 25:29 in the 55th minute, it looked as if the TuS could now easily rock the thing home. But the Elbflorenzer reared up again, scored the 26:29 and 27:29, but the long-time fighter Torben Matzken followed at 27:30. The thriller continued, because the hosts shortened to 29:30 with Julius Dierberg and Oskar Emanuel. We were in the 60th minute when everything was going very quickly.

Jonas Faulenbach 3 Tore

Once again the best TuS goalscorer Mattis Michel scored his eighth goal of the day at 29:31, but Dresden’s answer came in direct return from Sebastian Greß. But the result did not last long, because Mattis Michel wanted to score his ninth goal and he did so 7 seconds before the end. The scoreboard showed a 30:32, Dresden was defeated, seemed powerless and disappointed and the Ferndorfer Bank cheered, these were two points that were not exactly expected, but which were extremely important for staying in the league, which should actually be “dry” .

Ferndorf’s keeper both had a bad day today, Tim Hottgenroth had 5 and Marin Durica had 3 parades and yet the TuS prevailed among the strong Saxons. Robert Andersson can be proud of “these guys”, they played a strong game today and it’s fun for more.

If you now follow the constantly falling incidence figures in the state and also in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district, the TuS fans are longingly waiting for the day when spectators will be allowed to enter the triple hall for the first time. Let’s wait and see, maybe something will happen for the home game on Thursday against SG BBM Bietigheim. We wish the team and the spectators and we keep our fingers crossed for them.
