Novak Djokovic is only three quarter-finals away from equaling the record of participations of Roger Federer at this stage of the competition on the Grand Slam tournaments, 55 against 58 for the Swiss. Undoubtedly even more impressive, he beat Rafael Nadal in the number of quarter-finals at the Roland-Garros tournament alone, with a 17th qualification in the quarter-finals against sixteen for the Spanish legend. The Serb lost five times for nine wins.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will play his third quarter-final at Roland-Garros in four years. In six quarter-finals in total at a Grand Slam tournament (four in Australia, two at Roland-Garros), the Greek has always won. But against Carlos Alcaraz, whom he will face on Tuesday, he has always lost in four confrontations, including two on clay and both times in Barcelona: in the quarter-finals last year (6-4, 5-7, 6 -2), then in the final this season (6-3, 6-4).

Elina Svitolina is very fond of Daria Kasatkina, whom she has defeated seven times in as many confrontations. It is also her second victory in a Grand Slam tournament against a top 10 player in the world. Gael Monfils’ wife will play her ninth quarter-final at this level on Tuesday, after having already reached this stage twice in Australia (two losses), three times at Roland-Garros (three losses), once at Wimbledon (one victory ) and another time at the US Open (a win).

Since Kaia Kanepi at the US Open in 2017, no player as poorly ranked as Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has managed to reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament. In New York, the Estonian player, who was then 418th in the WTA rankings, stopped at this level against Madison Keys. Almost five years later, the Russian does not however arrive in unknown territory since she played in the final of Roland-Garros in 2021.
