According to a file note on the casino investigations from 2019, Strache’s mother had stated that her son had not lived in the Landstraßer apartment “for at least 19 years” – in which no personal belongings of the former FPÖ boss were found during the house search.
The question of where Strache actually lives now became virulent because the small party “Change” brought a description of the facts. In this, it is questioned that he actually lives at his registered main residence in Vienna-Landstrasse. Rather, it is assumed that he lives with his family near Klosterneuburg in Lower Austria. The municipal department 62 responsible for elections has therefore initiated a test procedure in which Strache has to provide evidence of his living situation.
