The Guard1anes 2021 Liga MX tournament is not over yet. There are still four days of the regular phase, in addition to the Liguilla, and Cruz Azul’s board of directors is already working on what will be the composition of the workforce: registrations, cancellations, loans and renewals that will be related to the team next semester.
Nowadays, There are six footballers who end their contractual relationship with the Machine before the start of the 2021 Opening tournament. Adrián Aldrete, José de Jesús Corona, Joaquín Martínez, Pablo Aguilar, Elías Hernández and Ignacio Rivero. And they are all in different states regarding their future.
In the case of the two defenders, Aldrete and Shaggy, the board plans to grant them the contract extension, with a deadline to be defined, as revealed by TUDN. To them Captain Chuy joins, who is already in talks with the high command of Cruz Azul to sign -or not- the renewal with Cruz Azul for the next season.

Pablo Aguilar, meanwhile, wants to return to Paraguay and everything indicates that he will not continue in La Noria. Their intention is not to extend the link, although in the Machine they wish to keep it in the template. Elías Hernández, for his part, is not within the board’s plans and he would not continue in Cruz Azul, since he is less and less considered.
Only Ignacio Rivero is in doubt about his future. The celestial directive has to make use of the purchase clause that it has with Xolos de Tijuana, which is around 3 million dollars. Today there are no certainties about what they will do in Cruz Azul with their pass, but everything indicates that they will stay for several more years.
