Stop the Spread of DHF, BMI Ponorogo Fogging and Distribute Abate at Three Points

PONOROGO, KANALINDONESIA.COM: DPC BMI (Banteng Muda Indonesia) Ponorogo Regency continues to hold fogging as an effort to prevent the spread of cases of DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever). This time it was held at the Grand Lotus Purbosuman Housing Complex, continued in RT 1, 2 and 3 RW 1 Brotonegaran Village and at RT 3 RW 3 Kertosari Village, Saturday (22/1/2022) morning.

Deputy Chairperson of the DPC BMI Ponorogo Catur Chrismantyas Faiq Akbar who accompanied the fogging volunteers explained that for the past week the DPC BMI Ponorogo routinely held fogging involving BMI’s PAC (Sub-branch Management) and community cooperation.

“This past week we have continued to promote the implementation of fogging, and Alhamdulillah, every day there are at least 3 location points. From the various proposals, we will make observations first, if in the proposed area there are already infected (DHF – ed), then we will prioritize it,” he said.

At the location, Acong, usually called PAC, also distributed mosquito larvae killer (Abate) and explained how to use it. He hoped that after fogging the community could independently carry out preventive efforts to eradicate mosquito nests (PSN), including 3 M (Draining, Closing and Hoarding).

“In all the fogging locations, I have felt strong community togetherness and mutual cooperation in active community service. Public awareness, environmental cleanliness is actually an important key in preventing dengue,” he added.

One of the community leaders of Brotonegaran Marjuki Village, expressed his gratitude for the fogging assistance from BMI.

“We are greatly helped by holding this fogging, hopefully our residents will avoid dengue fever and we hope that we can continue spraying this mosquito nest so that our residents are completely free from these dangerous mosquito attacks,” he hoped.
