The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) said that there had been no significant changes regarding the criteria for vehicles that would be prohibited from consuming Pertalite. BPH Migas member Saleh Abdurrahman said the criteria for vehicles that were prohibited from using Pertalite were cars over 1,500 cc and motorcycles over 250 cc.
The cars with engine capacities above 1,500 cc are inhabited by various models. Starting from MPV, pick-up, SUV, to sports cars. The car segment with a capacity above 1,500 cc is also not as much as those below.

As for cars with capacities below 1,500 cc, it is said that Pertalite will still be safe for consumption. But it should be noted, even if the criteria are allowed to fill Pertalite, you still have to adjust to the engine specifications.
For example, Low MPV cars, all of which carry engines under 1,500 cc, are still eligible for Pertalite. However, in terms of engine compression ratio, it is recommended to use a minimum of RON 92 fuel in the Pertamax class to maintain optimal performance.
