Stoltenberg: Ukraine has the right to liberate their land

Stoltenberg, who is scheduled to meet with Biden at the White House on Tuesday, told CNN that the attack is complex but has barely begun.

NATO Secretary General emphasized that Ukrainians have the right to liberate their land.

He assumed that the more territory that is liberated, the more likely it is that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will understand the need to sit down at the negotiating table to agree on a “just and permanent peace in Ukraine.”

The Ukrainian army is trying to attack Russia’s long-fortified defense lines in the east and south of the country.

Speaking about his possible successor, who will take over the leadership of NATO after his term ends in October, Stoltenberg expressed confidence that an excellent candidate will be found, but he is currently focusing on leading the alliance until the end of his term, because “there is a war in the middle of Europe.”

The meeting between Stoltenberg and Biden was scheduled for Monday, but it was postponed because the US president had a dental appointment. The two leaders plan to discuss preparations for the NATO summit in Vilnius in mid-July.
