Stoltenberg turned to Russia because of the situation around Ukraine

The NATO Secretary General said that the alliance remains ready for dialogue with Russia, but at the same time continues to support Ukraine. So far, they are closely monitoring the situation on the Ukrainian border.

According to him, the alliance supports Ukraine politically and practically, so that “the country can defend itself from aggression.” He also turned to Russia.

“I call on Russia to reduce tensions,” Stoltenberg said.

And the NATO Secretary General commented on the information about the alleged accumulation of Russian troops near the border. He is not ready to regard this as “purely a bluff.”

Earlier, the head of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) Sergei Naryshkin said that no “Russian invasion” of Ukraine was being prepared. According to him, the US statements about this are just a malicious propaganda action.

Prior to that, the agency Bloomberg has published another material about the alleged preparation of Russia for the “invasion” of Ukraine. Before that, it was argued there that the offensive of Russia would be conducted from three sides: “from the Crimea, on a section of the common border, and from the side of Belarus.”

Later, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that a number of American media outlets were being used as a conduit for a targeted information campaign against Russia.
