More than 20 million doses of vaccines against COVID-19 have been applied in the country. According to him vaccinometer from the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) of Ecuador, until August 21, 2021, 10.6 million people have received the first dose, while 9.7 million already have the full doses.

Citizens who are vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus receive a physical card stating the date of vaccination, the doses received, among other details. In addition, those interested can access a digital certificate through an application enabled by the MSP.

To request the certificate, the immunized person will have to enter their identification number as well as their date of birth. Once you enter these data, you will have to click on Search (magnifying glass symbol), and immediately a window will be displayed where the type of vaccine applied as well as the dates of application will appear.

Then, by clicking on the ‘Request’ button, the certificate will be displayed with the full name of the vaccinated person, date of birth, QR Code, as well as more information about the vaccination. In the past the Applicant had to wait days to download the certificate that reached the email.

On the other hand, people who were vaccinated abroad can visit the portal lugarvacunacion.cne.gob.ec to update the vaccination record.

In Ecuador currently vaccines are applied consisting of two doses made by Pfizer and Biontech, Sinovac, Astrazeneca and Oxford; in addition, it is also inoculated with the formula manufactured by CanSino, in a single dose. (I)
