Levorg second generation, first shown back in October, has not yet become serial. Under the heading “secret” are still the characteristics and interior of the station wagon. But at the Tokyo Auto Salon exhibition, which is mainly devoted to tuning, the company hastened to present the “heated” Subaru Levorg STI Sport.
The first generation model has a similar version, although the STI unit’s contribution to it is rather modest: suspension settings have been changed, sports surroundings have been added, but the power unit has been left almost untouched. Apparently, the same recipe was applied to the new model, which was the first in the range to acquire a new opposed turbo engine 1.8. According to preliminary information, it will produce about 200 hp.
And the main feature of the STI Sport version will be the chassis: such a station wagon will be the first Subaru model with electronically controlled shock absorbers, which have several modes that vary in degree of rigidity. In addition, the “Drive” Select system will debut at the “sports” Levorg, allowing you to select driving electronics. In the zone of “influence” – the engine, CVT, suspension and four-wheel drive transmission.
The second-generation Subaru Levorg should appear on the Japanese market in the second quarter, which means that the details will not wait long.
