Recall this maximum electricity prices for adjustments with subjects authorized by energy sellers from 1 December 2022 they are equal to:

• for small and medium-sized enterprises, public services and municipalities – PLN 785 per MWh.
• for families no more than PLN 693 per MWh.

In addition, energy consumption limits have been set for households, below which energy prices will apply from 2022. After exceeding them, the maximum electricity price (PLN 693 per MWh) will apply.

• 2000kWh, for families,
• 2600 kWhif one of the family members is disabled,
• 3000 kWh, if you are a farmer or have the Large Family Card.

Does everyone have to make a statement to have cheaper electricity in 2023? We explain which declarations are made by companies and which by households, as well as when and where documents must be presented.

What declaration must companies, municipalities and sensitive subjects present?

To be used from 1 December 2022 and in 2023 the maximum electricity price of 785 PLN/MWh, i.e. 0.79 PLN/kWhsmall and medium-sized entrepreneurs (including sole proprietorships) as well as sensitive and common subjects must make a corresponding statement.

The utilities that should make a statement are: schools, nurseries and childcare clubs, nursery schools, hospitals, clinics, voluntary firefighters, churches and other religious associations, structures providing 24-hour assistance to the disabled, chronically ill or elderly, family care homes , integration centers and occupational therapy workshops and social cooperatives, night shelters and warm-up centres, etc.

By when do companies, municipalities and sensitive entities have to submit a declaration on low-cost electricity?

Declaration sent until November 30, 2022 it means that the maximum prices will be applied from 1 December. Declaration sent after November 30th it means that the maximum price will take effect from the month following the one in which the declaration was made.

What statement should families make?

domestic, to take advantage of the maximum electricity price of PLN 693/MWh, they do not have to submit any declarations. The electricity seller will independently carry out the appropriate settlement of the recipient.

However, they will have to submit a declaration, together with the relevant annexes, in case when they want to use the electricity prices frozen in 2023 in increased limits of 2.6 MWh or 3 MWh.

The declaration on the increase of the limit together with the attachments must be submitted as soon as possible, but no later until 30 June 2023.

Where to submit declarations on cheap electricity?

All the above declarations must be submitted to the electricity supplier with whom we have signed a contract. Applications are available from electricity suppliers, including their websites.

How to make a statement on cheap electricity?

Declarations can be submitted:

• in paper form,
• in electronic format (i.e. a file with a qualified electronic signature, trusted signature or personal signature sent by email).

How to make a statement on cheap electricity online?

if you have Trusted profile, you can use it to sign a statement with a trusted signature and send the document online. To do it:

• Go to website – moj.gov.pl/uslugi/signer/upload?xFormsAppName=SIGNER
• Prepare a document for signing, that is, a file saved on a local drive, such as a computer, phone.
• Click the Sign button.
• Add a document (file) from local disk.
• Then click the Sign button.
• Log into your account when the trusted profile page opens.
• Click the Sign with a trusted signature button and follow the onscreen instructions.
• The system will generate an xml file containing the signature.
• Click the Download button to save the signed document in .xml format to your local drive.
• The signed and downloaded .xml document can be sent: by email to the selected energy supplier.
