“State-wide university network gathers for annual meeting on Education for Sustainable Development”

NUERTINGEN. Active members of the university network “Education for Sustainable Development Baden-Württemberg” (BNE) came together at the University of Economics and Environment (HfWU) in Nürtingen. Education for Sustainable Development is a campaign supported by a wide range of actors, both nationally and internationally. The focus is on the goal of empowering people to understand the effects of their own actions and to make responsible, sustainable decisions. A wide range of ESD concepts and activities are already being implemented at the state’s universities in research, teaching and transfer.

In the historic ambience of the old gymnasium at the HfWU in Nürtingen, the spokespersons of the network, Professor Dr. Alexander Siegmund (Heidelberg University of Education) and Professor Dr. Armin Lude (Ludwigsburg University of Education), the participants. Actors from more than 20 institutions attended the annual meeting. “Keep growing? Critical perspectives on business in the context of education for sustainable development” was the title of the program for the two-day conference.
