TOLUCAState of Mexico.- Teacher Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Governor of the State of Mexico, was vaccinated against Influenza and COVID-19, within the framework of the 2023-2024 Winter Season Vaccination Campaign “For your well-being and that of your family! get vaccinated!”, which was activated in the entity.
The State President attended one of the three modules installed in the Central Courtyard of the Government Palace in Toluca to receive her vaccines, which are also applied free and safely in the more than 1,800 first-level care units located all the institutions of the Mexican health sector.
The Health authorities reported that, since the start of the Vaccination Campaign to date, in the Mexican entity 207,976 doses against Influenza have been applied free of charge out of a total of 4.2 million doses of the vaccine that are estimated apply.
Regarding the progress of vaccination against COVID-19, the Ministry of Health indicated that, as of October 25, the various institutions in the health sector have applied 2,736 doses of Abdala to the population at risk, out of a total of 960 thousand doses received in a first delivery.
Vaccination is one of the most effective actions in the prevention of communicable diseases, which is why it is a priority task for the Government headed by Teacher Delfina Gómez Álvarez.
