State of Mexico remains measles-free for over three years thanks to successful vaccination campaigns

For more than three years, the State of Mexico has remained free of measles cases, despite global indices warning of the increase in this disease, stated the state Health Secretariat.

The Subdirectorate of Epidemiology of the Health Institute of the State of Mexico reported that since 2020 no cases of Measles have been recorded at the state level, thanks to the participation of Mexicans in the campaigns carried out each year.

Likewise, he stressed that the State Vaccination Week was recently held, under the motto “For your well-being, Get Up to Date 2024”, through which various biologicals were applied, among which is the triple viral SRP, which protects against measles, rubella and mumps, of which 44,418 doses were applied.
