Poroshenko complied with the court decision regarding the transfer of passports of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad and a diplomatic passport only on January 24, the bureau noted.

Former President, leader of the European Solidarity Party Petro Poroshenko has been summoned for questioning to the State Bureau of Investigation on January 31. It is reported on the site departments on Wednesday, January 26.

“The next time the SBI investigator is waiting for Petro Poroshenko at 11:00 on January 31, 2022,” the report says.

The State Bureau of Investigation noted that Poroshenko complied with the court decision regarding the transfer of passports of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad and a diplomatic passport only on January 24 “after public coverage of the fact that he ignored the court decision” and called on the politician “to stop manipulating public opinion.”

“In addition, at 16:00 on the same day, Petro Poroshenko was summoned to the investigative State Bureau of Investigation for interrogation as a suspect. To create the appearance of fulfilling the duties assigned to him by the court the suspect appeared at the State Bureau of Investigation, but soon left premises without waiting for the investigator. At the same time, his team managed to shoot a video that no one was expecting them at the State Bureau of Investigation, although the lawyers knew for sure that the investigator would come to them in a few minutes,” the bureau added.

The SBI recalled that Poroshenko is suspected of committing crimes under the articles on treason and assistance to the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 111, part 2 of article 28, part 1 of article 258-3 Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As you know, on January 19, the Pechersky District Court of Kiev chose Petro Poroshenko a measure of restraint in the form of a personal obligation and entrusted him with a number of responsibilities.

Thereafter, the Attorney General Irina Venediktova promised to appeal such a court decision. The appeal has already been filed. Prosecutors insist on the arrest of Poroshenko with the alternative of making a pledge in the amount of UAH 1 billion.
