Juris Ludženieks tells about the creation of the song: “Many thanks to Kristaps Krievkalns, who, while listening to the song, thought that he could offer it to Gunārs Kalniņas to sing. Of course, thanks to Gunārs for agreeing. In the middle of the summer, they both agreed on a time when they could record the vocals , and it did. All I had to do was get down to finishing the song.”

On the other hand, Gunārs Kalniņš laughingly admits: “I was surprised when Kristaps addressed me. At first I was a little afraid that some funny accent would appear when I sang the song, because I had not sung a song in Latvian for a long time. However, Kristaps was very persistent and assured me that everything would be fine. ”

It should be noted that since 2009, the musician has been living in Barcelona, ​​Spain.
