Banks operating in Egypt and the stock exchange will start working from tomorrow, Sunday, to work according to the dates prior to the exceptional measures that were applied at the end of last March that reduced working hours to cope with the outbreak of the Corona virus.
The Central Bank announced in a previous statement that the banks will open their doors for customers from tomorrow, from 9:30 until 3:00 p.m., while staff appointments will start from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Egyptian Stock Exchange also announced that it will return to work with regular appointments starting from tomorrow, so that the daily trading session times for the Stock Exchange for the main market, as well as the market for small and medium-sized companies (the Nile Stock Exchange) from 10 am to 2.30 pm, will be preceded by the exploratory session from 9:30 am.
On March 24, the Central Bank and the Egyptian Stock Exchange decided to reduce the working hours and the trading session to be until 1.30 pm after the government decided to impose a curfew from 7 pm until 6 am.
