Star Wars: Squadrons – New ship customization news – News

Scheduled for the end of the year, Star Wars: Squadrons focuses on an important part of space warfare, namely the epic battles between fighters. Electronic Arts and Motive Studio recently shared more about the mechanics of thinking about personalization.

It is througha post posted on the title’s blog that EA Motive has distinguished fromthem types of elements to customize future interstellar cars. The components, which will modify the gameplay of the ships, and the purely cosmetic elements.

There will be up to seven slots for components, knowing that ships without a shield generator will only have six.

  • Primary weapon
  • Auxiliary 1
  • Auxiliary 2
  • “Countermeasures” (countermeasures in French?)
  • Shell
  • Shield
  • Engine

In active mods, auxiliaries correspond to secondary abilities (torpedoes, bombs, mines …) and it will be impossible to put the same auxiliary twice. The “countermeasures” are defense mechanisms (anti-missile warheads, adversary missile sensor jammer, etc.).

In addition, exclusively cosmetic items will be unlocked through Glory Points to customize pilots and fighters visually. Face, clothes or even times for members of the Empire and the Republic, painting, cockpit, dashboard for Pimp my Ride addicts. Recall that Star Wars: Squadrons will not feature DLC or microtransactions.

Star Wars Squadrons will land on 02 October 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
