This Monday, the Facebook page of Star Academy unveiled a mysterious video in which we recognize some musical notes from It’s just a start, the theme song that launched the popular show in 2003. Far from being an ordinary video, this one brings together fans and aspiring candidates of Star Academy on August 20 at 6 a.m. on this same Facebook page for the unveiling of a big announcement.
Our little finger tells us that everything is related to the hearings which are due to start next September. The list of cities in Quebec and New Brunswick where production will stop to find future academics has not yet been released.
The caption accompanying the video also points to this hypothesis: “ It’s just the beginning, but we will organize ourselves so that you experience the most beautiful of beginnings … »
It is therefore with great excitement that we await the fateful date which will truly begin the return of this great singing competition which has enabled Quebecers to discover the talents of Marea-Ii, Wilfred LeBouthillier, Annie villeneuve, Brigitte Boisjoli, Olivier Dion and more over five memorable seasons.
This sixth and new version may be the most unforgettable of all, while we know that the concept of the show has been modernized.
In addition, it remains to be seen who will be in charge of the animation of Star Academy. According to the latest rumors, the name of Véronic Dicaire would be at the top of the list.
Behind the scenes
Psst: We also wonder where will be located the academy. It is besides Jean-Philippe Dion, executive producer of Star Academy, which deals with this important file. To help him in his research, the production asked the public in what type of homes they would like to find the new candidates. In a penthouse, a country house, a mansion or a high-end house? On our side, we have a small preference for the country house which reminds us of the Frelighsburg Academy in 2012.
