Stany Crets will give three ‘great birthday shows’ in Theater Elkerlyc on Saturday, in honor of his 57th birthday. Each time for an audience of 200 people that is. The actor spoke out strongly against the policy of Culture Minister Jan Jambon last week and sees these shows as a statement.

The poster of Stany’s awesome birthday show couldn’t be clearer. Crets is about to bite into his birthday cake, decorated with a candle very similar to Minister Jambon. For Crets, this show is a statement. “It is not only nice to set up a last-minute show with this permanent team, it is also a signal to our government: we cannot be small. If we can only play in front of 200 people, then we will. And it will be a big party, I guarantee you!”

Together with loyal companions Ann Van den Broeck, Dirk Van Vooren, Patrick Onzia, Laurenz Hoorelbeke and Helle Vanderheyden, Stany builds a show with lots of humor and live music. Crets will play the performance three times: at 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. There are a total of 600 tickets.
