SPD mayor re-elected for the third time. In the direct election, the incumbent had no opposing candidates.
In the community of Roßdorf in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district, citizens were able to cast their votes in three elections on Sunday. In addition to the election to the Roßdörfer community council and to the district council, they could also re-elect their mayor or not. On the ballot papers for the direct election there was only the name of incumbent Christel Sprößler, who has been head of the Roßdorf town hall since 2003 and who applied for a fourth term. 69.2 percent of the voters voted for the social democrat, who is also the chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group in the district council of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district. 30.8 percent voted against them. The turnout was just under 49.8 percent. 9,900 eligible voters were called to vote. jjo
