A performing musician is not always the author of the respective song at the same time. There is also the constellation of the pure performers that you see and hear in public and the songwriter in the background. These songwriters are supposed to come into focus on the recently officially opened “Songwriters Hub” on Spotify. Among other things, “Written By” playlists, podcasts on the subject of songwriting and popular playlists by songwriters are offered there.

According to a current Spotify press release, the purpose of the new “Songwriters Hub” is to provide music fans, industry partners and management with a central point of contact to discover, get to know and promote songwriters behind the tracks.

In addition, Spotify has recently started presenting more “Songwriter Pages”. There the extensive and varied catalog of the creative people working behind the scenes is to be honored. Gregg Wattenberg, Ant Clemons, Noonie Bao, Sia, Bebe Rexha, Irving Berlin and Ashley Goreley are new. The “Songwriter Pages” originally started in February. According to Spotify, songs with clickable songwriting credits have been viewed more than 127 billion times on the Swedish streaming company’s platform.

There is a guide to the “Songwriter Pages” via this link, the “Songwriters Hub” can be reached here.

Further information on the new feature is available under “Spotify For Artists”.
