Music and podcast streaming platform Spotify announced a global distribution agreement with National Public Radio (NPR), the United States’ public media and radio station.
Thus, Starting this Wednesday, the catalog of the most popular NPR original podcasts will be available to Spotify listeners of all the world, indicated a statement from the Swedish company.
“For nearly 50 years, NPR has served as a daily source of knowledge and entertainment for its American listeners. Every day, millions of people connect to NPR stations across the country to listen to everything from pop culture podcasts to news ”, said the newsletter.
There was already an agreement at the US level between the station and Spotify signed in 2018 and which was extended today to the entire world.
The platform has 320 million subscribers around the globe.
