Spotify wants to make parties – or shared music among families – easier. Two or more premium users can join the “group session” function, which allows music to be changed in real time and a group playlist to be edited. To use the feature, a user can “host” the session, which gives them a scannable code – then other guests can join. It is possible for them to stop, pause, skip, search or edit the queue.
