Sporting Lisbon prepares for Portuguese Cup quarter-final against UD Leiria after unexpected change of plans

Leões trained this morning, at Academia de Alcochete, with a view to next Wednesday’s game against UD Leiria

Hours after returning to Lisbon, without the game with Famalicão having taken place, due to the lack of personnel to guarantee security at the event, Rúben Amorim’s team completed, this Sunday morning, training at the Cristiano Ronaldo Academy, in Alcochete .

A different training session than the technical team had planned, with the lions now focusing on the quarter-final game of the Portuguese Cup, against UD Leiria, scheduled for 8.45pm next Wednesday, at the Estádio Municipal Dr Magalhães Pessoa, in Leiria.

Remember that Iván Fresneda, recovering from surgery on his left shoulder, and St. Juste, due to a sprain in his left foot, are still out of the options.

For tomorrow, Monday morning, a new training unit is scheduled, in Alcochete, behind closed doors.
