The last match: draw at Amiens (1-1)
No doubt they were hoping for better from their getaway last Saturday at Amiens, a competitor in the maintenance race. Especially since they had the score by Jhonder Cadiz. But in the end, with the draw, the Dijon ended a streak of five straight away games. “I haven’t seen a great match,” said Stéphane Jobard, DFCO coach. “But, don’t forget that we have been playing with the knife under the throat for some time now. We also have a fairly young workforce that discovers the requirements of Ligue 1. Now, we are not going to sulk our pleasure, we are preventing Amiens from taking off on us. In other words, the Burgundians (16e ) approach the reception of FC Metz (18e ) with a hint of extra confidence.

Gaston-Gérard almost impregnable

Absent against Montpellier (2-2) and Nantes (1-0), the DFCO striker and captain returned during the trip to Amiens. Without finding the path of the nets. The last match: draw against OM (1-1)
Like Dijon, FC Metz reassured itself last weekend by slowing down a Marseille training course launched at full speed for 6 days. Certainly, the Messins, who missed the ball 2-0 on a penalty from Diallo, have some regrets after the draw. But at least they did a coherent service against the 2e of the championship, all after two defeats in a row including the slap received in Nice (4-1). Therefore, Vincent Hognon’s men hope to end the year on a positive note by (finally) receiving the dividends of this 7e draw of the season.

Decorate the exterior!
To get some air before the holiday season, the Messins are aiming for nothing more than a victory for Gaston-Gérard. It would only be 2e success of Grenats away from Saint-Symphorien after that obtained in Saint-Étienne (0-1) on September 25 (7e day of L1). In total, FC Metz collected only 6 points on the move (1 victory, 3 draws, 5 losses) out of 27 possible… And since they fail to refuel at home, you might as well start decorating the outside with one of their competitors in the fight for maintenance…

Diallo, the locomotive
