After a long and difficult deliberation, Spintec decided to withdraw from participating in this year’s ICE. The decision was especially challenging as the program has been a staple in their operations for decades with great success. The expo is one of the most important gaming industry events in the world and Spintec has always been very committed to participating, exhibiting and promoting the event with its partners.
This year, however, complicated circumstances prevent Spintec from participating to the best of its ability and potential. The volatile situation related to the ongoing pandemic is not only preventing several of its partners from traveling, but recent marches by the largest exhibitors will also lessen the attraction for international visitors. In addition, the effort to participate in the fair would increase a lot this year due to the more complicated import procedures related to Brexit, the operational challenges due to the Easter holidays and the proximity of the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention (19-22 April).
This creates a double bind that puts Spintec in an untenable position. Despite their commitment to the fair and their longstanding association with ICE organizers, they were forced to withdraw their participation. Instead, they will focus their efforts on exhibiting in 2023, when circumstances will be more favorable for both the company and its partners.
