The private equity specialist Spice Private Equity will offer its shareholders to waive the 2019 dividend. This decision follows the “economic and social” uncertainties linked to COVID-19. The May 27 General Assembly will have the final say.
The board of directors prefers to deprive shareholders of compensation in order to guarantee sufficient liquidity, said Spice on Monday. The money will allow the company to make investments when opportunities arise, as markets are destabilized by the coronavirus crisis.
The dividend will be reassessed during the year, depending on how the situation develops, says Spice Private Equity.
The investment company will update its net asset value in the 1st quarter on Friday.
