Speculations regarding the iPhone Ultra have surfaced on a Chinese social network

Speculations about the plans of big tech companies very often give a glimpse into their upcoming plans, if there is a reliable source behind them. One of them now spoke on the Chinese social network Weibo and revealed a possible new device that Apple is currently actively working on. It is not supposed to be a completely new device, but another version of the iPhone smartphone, which should bear the name Ultra. Its role within the company’s portfolio is said to be very closely tied to the recently introduced Vision Pro mixed reality headset.
Will the iPhone Ultra be the best-equipped iPhone ever?
One of the main strengths of the iPhone Ultra is supposed to be in its cameras – they should be able to take photos and record three-dimensional content, which could then be natively displayed on the Vision Pro glasses. It is the lack of content for Vision Pro that is a big scare in Cupertino – the best technology is doomed to extinction if there are not enough opportunities to use it properly. Speculation that Apple wants to create a special version of the iPhone with the ability to create its own content for the Vision Pro is therefore not an absurd idea, at least from a theoretical point of view.
The iPhone Ultra smartphone is shrouded in mystery for now
The Vision Pro headset itself is also supposed to contain 3D cameras for recording and preserving the surrounding events, however, you probably won’t take the device for around one hundred thousand crowns with you for walks in the city or on vacation. The question will also be the quality with which the integrated cameras will take photos and video recordings – also from this point of view, the release of the iPhone Ultra would make sense, since the cameras in iPhones have long been among the best on the smartphone market.

However, Chinese sources are relatively tight-lipped about the features of a possible iPhone Ultra. It is very likely that Apple is just toying with the idea of an “iPhone with a 3D camera” and will not see it in practice at all. However, there has been speculation about the Ultra model for a long time – according to some information, it should replace the Pro Max model, but Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman believes that the Ultra will rather be the most equipped iPhone in the entire portfolio already next year. However, it will be interesting to see which option Apple ultimately decides on.
