Industry analyst Jeff Pu was quoted by TribunGorontalo.com, Monday (18/12/2023), the iPhone 17 Pro Max is said to be equipped with a 48MP telephoto periscope camera.
According to this analysis, the camera is specifically optimized for recording video with Apple’s superior feature, Apple Vision Pro.
iPhone users can already experience the impressive quality of videos captured with the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max on Apple’s mixed reality headset.
Reportedly, this quality will be further improved in the coming years. Even so, Jeff Pu did not provide further details regarding the specifications of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, which is scheduled to become the most expensive iPhone cellphone in 2025.
Likewise, there is no further explanation about how this Pro Max model will differ in terms of cameras from other variants in the series.
The camera numbers on previous iPhones include a 48MP main camera, a 12MP telephoto periscope camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera on the back.
With rumors that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will get a 48MP ultrawide camera upgrade next year, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is believed to have three 48MP cameras inside the rear module, offering a very high-end setup.
