Auweia … These Christmas messages on Twitter went really bad. It’s about the SPD-Juso Julius Siebert, who is still a stranger on the big political stage.

The young politician from Baden-Württemberg advocates making certain luxury products only accessible to a certain audience. For example, he writes on Twitter: “Certain products have to become luxury products and may no longer be everyday products. This is the only way to effectively combat the ecological challenges. This includes cars, flights and yes, meat too. The alternative is to ban these things entirely. “

Another message from Julius Siebert says: “Anyone who cannot afford meat in the future will buy too much of it, and then it is good that the state’s steering effect takes effect.”

Of course, these statements provide plenty of material for discussion. His tweets are diligently commented on on Twitter.

Eating less meat is certainly not a wrong approach. But of course the users do not hide the fact that Julius Siebert also made his Christmas menu public on Twitter …

For the background: Meat consumption in Germany is tending to decrease more and more and in 2020 was 57.3 kilograms per capita and year. Perhaps that should also satisfy Julius Siebert. The total consumption including the production of animal feed, industrial recycling and losses was around 88 kilograms per capita in 2013. A certain U-turn seems to have been initiated.
