Sparta – Liberec 3: 2, After the shootout came the battle. Sparta has their second win

After Monday’s debacle, the North Bohemians entered the match actively and Ordoš could open the score at the beginning of the second period, but he could not finish ideally. The home team quickly leveled the game, but collected first. Sparta was penalized for too many players on the ice, and Šmíd took advantage of the initial power play of the match, crossing the entire course and beating Machovský.

A minute later, however, the guests also played at six and the Praguers evened out in a flash. Sobotka finished the power play after thirteen seconds. In the 13th minute, Matushka prepared an accurate cross for Němeček and Sparta led. Immediately, the Tigers went to three, and although the home team could not use the 59-second double power play, before the first of the eliminated Šír joined the game, the emphatic Tomášek prevailed.

However, the guests reduced in the first period in the power play, when the puck Vlach pushed the Machovsky while he was lying down. Referee Lacina acknowledged the goal despite Ordoš’s previous contact with Sparta’s goalkeeper and the coaching challenge of the home team. According to the referees, Sparta Jurčina was responsible for the clash.

Emotions in the second part dropped significantly, the people of Prague had more chances to score, but Kváča caught up reliably.

At the beginning of the third part, Chlapík could have added a fourth goal, but even the most productive player of the basic part did not beat the Liberec goalkeeper. Both teams tried mainly not to make a mistake and not to offer their opponents a significant opportunity. In the end, Sparta maintained a close win and scored the ninth win in a row, including the end of the basic part.
