Sony tests game streaming via cloud on PS5 – TecheNet
Beta test invites
Some reports confirm that users have received invitations to try out this new feature. One of these users, named @rdmetz, shared a screenshot from Sony’s email, which talks about updating the beta version of the PS5 software, which includes the ability to stream games through the cloud. It seems that Sony intends to make this function available in the near future, given the beta testing phase it is in.

But what can we expect from this new feature? A user named ArashiGames provided some insight into what cloud streaming can offer:
Support for multiple resolution options such as 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 2160p. Possibility to select the resolution through an activity card. The games seem to directly load cloud saves, allowing you to continue the game in the cloud right after you’ve played it locally on your PS5, without losing any progress.
And what are the games that are available to test? Well, for starters, we have popular titles like “God Of War: Ragnarok”, “Destiny 2”, “Returnal”, “Fall Guys”, “Fortnite”, “Demon’s Souls” and “Death Stranding”. Keep an eye on your email, as it is possible that you will also receive an invitation, especially if you are a PlayStation Plus Premium subscriber.
