Sony plans to launch EVs with Honda – Sound and Vision – News

Sony is partnering with Honda to make its EVs. The two companies aim to bring a first model to the market in 2025. Sony had already announced earlier this year that it was developing an electric car.

The two companies let know that they start a new company together under the (working) title New Company. This company will be officially established later this year and the collaboration still has to be approved by the authorities. Sony and Honda plan to launch their first electric car in 2025.

New EVs are developed from the new company. The planning, design, development and sales will be done by this new company. Production will be in the hands of Honda. The new Sony and Honda company will not build its own car factories.

It’s no news that Sony wants to get involved in the car market. At the beginning of this year, the tech company announced that it was developing electric cars. Company presented then two concepts of what these vehicles might look like.
