Sony improves accessibility to PlayStation 5 game console

From November 19, the PlayStation 5 available and according to Sony, this game console is more accessible than its predecessor. The company also wants to allow people with disabilities to play games.

This is done, among other things, with the option to type text via voice instead of a virtual keyboard. Blind and partially sighted users can turn on Screen Reader, which will speak all text on the screen. Unfortunately, this function does not work in Dutch yet. Players can also adjust the colors.

DualSense

The PlayStation 5 comes with the new DualSense controller. New in this controller is that the levers and buttons offer resistance. Players can reduce this resistance or turn it off completely.

With that, Sony is lagging behind Microsoft, which offers an Xbox Adaptive Controller. A wide variety of buttons and joysticks can be connected with this controller to allow people with all kinds of physical limitations to play games.
