The PlayStation 5 comes standard in white, but with the removable covers it is possible to customize it. It was therefore only a matter of time until Sony itself would come up with alternative colors and today Sony has officially announced.
Two different colors will be released in January (and three more colors later in 2022) and they match again with the different colors of DualSense controllers. Sony has also announced three new color DualSense controllers, following on from two earlier models: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue en Galactic Purple.
The covers will be available for both the digital PlayStation 5 and the Blu-ray disc drive edition. It is striking, however, that neither the new color controllers nor the console covers have been announced for the Benelux, so if you are interested you will have to order this abroad or via Direct PlayStation.
