The sons of the murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi forgive those convicted of his death. One of his sons, Salah Khashoggi, says this on the night from Thursday to Friday Twitter.
“In this blessed month (of Ramadan) we remember what God says: If a person forgives others and makes amends, he is rewarded by Allah. Therefore we, the sons of martyr Jamal Khashoggi, pardon those who have our father murdered, looking for a reward from Almighty God, “he tweeted.
Khashoggi was murdered in the Turkish city of Istanbul in October 2018. In December 2019, five people were sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia for involvement in his death. Three others were sentenced to jail. Several investigations have revealed that the killers of Khashoggi presumably acted on behalf of Saudi Crown Prince Bin Salman. He himself has always denied this.
Because Khashoggi’s sons pardon, the condemned people are unlikely to be executed.
