In Italy, to provide the codes that generate the green passes is Sogei, the information technology company of the Ministry of Economy. According to what was reported by the Ansa agency, there would be no cyber attacks in Sogei: the theft could therefore have occurred in another European country.

The green pass codes are QR codes (“Quick Response Code”), two-dimensional square-shaped matrix codes, with a white background, made up of numerous black modules containing various information.

The data contained in the green passes– as written who – there are many: in addition to the name, surname and date of birth, there are the codes relating to the reference disease (Covid-19), the type of vaccine and the manufacturer of the vaccine itself, as well as the numerical series of the inoculated dose; on the date of receipt of the vaccine dose, the state in which it was carried out, the responsible certifying body.

In the case of Green Passes relating to a swab, the data refers to the type of test, the name of the test, who produced the test and who performed it. Finally the date and the result of the swab.

As for the Green Passes that will bring with them those who have recovered from Covid-19, here the information concerns the date of the first positive swab, the state that stored the swab, the body that certified the swab, the duration of validity of the certificate of positivity.

Those who scan the green passes only see the name, surname and date of birth of the person showing it, and whether the pass is valid or not.

Yesterday evening, meanwhile, circulated on the net a pass in the name of Adolf Hitler, born on January 1, 1900: the false certificate, which was valid when checked with the “Verification C19” app, it was published on Twitter and on some sites. On Twitter around 22.30 yesterday the account “Reversebrain“Published a series of tweets:” I think that the keys used to sign the Covid EU digital certificate, at least in Italy, have somehow leaked “he wrote, inviting them to scan a QR code with the official Italian app. Code that was actually valid and, in fact, made out to Adolf Hitler.
